About the Awards

The Zaria Excellence Awards recognise institutions and individuals who are redefining records management, archives, information governance, data and knowledge systems through measurable results, innovation and leadership—advancing accountability, compliance and service delivery across sectors.

Who Can Be Nominated?

Self‑nomination, institutional nomination, or third‑party nomination are accepted.

Nominees may come from the public sector, private sector, academia/research, civil society or other relevant sectors

How to Nominate (Steps)

How to Nominate (Steps)

    1. Choose a nomination type: self, institutional or third‑party.
    2. Select one award category (only one per nomination).
    3. Complete the Nominee Profile (name, organisation, sector, province, contact).
    4. Executive Impact Summary (mandatory): up to 500 words covering contribution,
      governance/innovation/leadership impact, measurable outcomes and sector/institutional influence.
      You may attach a detailed motivation.
    5. Upload supporting evidence aligned to the category criteria (PDF/DOCX/PPTX; max 10 MB).
    6. Attach certified identification (e.g., national ID/passport, professional registration certificate).
    7. Declarations: confirm accuracy; authorise review; accept that adjudication decisions are final and confidential.
    8. Submit nomination via the online form before the deadline (15 April 2026)
